George Ranch Longhorns Lacrosse Club opened in the fall of 2015. George Ranch Longhorns Lacrosse Club exists to develop the character, pride, and leadership skills of high school boys in Lamar Consolidated ISD through participation in the sport of lacrosse, at a competitive level, while placing a high value on their academic achievements.
In Texas, lacrosse is not yet a University Interscholastic League (UIL) sport. Because of that, teams do not receive funding from the school districts. The club is self-funded, raising the resources needed for all operations, including field rental, referees, uniforms, team equipment, coaching staff, and more. Everything accounted for, it costs about $23,000 to operate each year. In order to keep player fees more accessible, we do a lot of fundraising to meet the needs of the team.
There are many other ways to support the team. Club Sponsorships are available ranging from $250-$5,000 each level offers advertising for your organization. GTech Sport gives 25% back to our club when you check out selecting George Ranch Longhorns Lacrosse. Shop Amazon with GRHSLAX on AmazonSmile. We offer a unique opportunity for Allergy Testing that provides funding to the club through Derrick Bratcher (281.204.7868). Two Annual Raffles, the Egg My Yard event and other fundraising opportunities and events throughout the year are announced via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @grhslax.
Thank you for participating!
